We are looking for someone with a proven track record in outreach and development work, especially with disabled people. The candidate needs to be committed, enthusiastic, self-motivated and someone who can use their own initiative. It is important the candidate has a clear understanding of social inclusion issues and is committed to the Social Model of Disability. The main purpose of the Outreach and Development Officer’s post will be to produce a development handbook. The handbook will assist groups of disabled people to deal more effectively with policy and decision makers. The pilot study was for the development of a programme of Creative Play. The pilot was aimed at working with children from the age of two to five and their parent in Glasgow West CHCP area and was evaluated by the Glasgow West Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team. The ARK is looking to offer further support to the local community and as a result is looking to launch a new community project focussed on out of school support for families. PROJECT ADVISOR The ARK is looking to contract the services of a Project Advisor to complete the foundation work for this community project. Reporting to: The ARK Management Committee Key activities: • Conduct a feasibility study to gather evidence of the need for the proposed project • Produce a detailed 5 year financial plan; • Develop a funding strategy for the first three years; • Identify funders and complete applications/negotiations to secure funding. • Secure local premises • Liaise with parties regarding premises and regulations Any special requirements: There are no premises from which to work and as this is a contract to complete a specific piece of work, it is anticipated that the successful candidate will provide their own access to computer, email etc. The successful applicant will be treated as self employed and will be responsible for their own tax, national insurance etc. This is a fixed term contract and payment is conditional on the tasks being completed to the required standard in the required time. NGARN is currently inviting proposals from artists/ designers to create an online information resource for the arts in North Glasgow. The designer should have innovative ideas for creating a visually stimulating, user-friendly website and simple e-mail management system. They are offering a maximum fee of £3,000 for all costs associated with the development of a web presence, to include creation of a functioning website, establishing a mailing system and any operational costs (e.g. hosting) for minimum 1 year.
