Equality Bill: Lords Report Stage (03/03/10): Clauses 1-214 were discussed on issues covering socio-economic inequalities, civil partnerships, direct and indirect discrimination, the gender pay gap, positive action on recruitment and promotion, and the public sector equality duty. Three votes on amendments (proposals for change) to the Bill took place with a Government defeat on the issue of civil partnerships on religious premises.
